Mobile Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Dallas / Fort Worth

Postion Overview

Petsafe Diagnostics, located in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex is seeking a Mobile Registered Diagnostic Medical sonographer with at least two years of ultrasound experience. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic quality echo and general sonography studies on animals using 2D, M-Mode, color flow, pulsed and continuous wave Doppler following Petsafe protocols.  This position requires a detailed understanding of anatomy, physiology and hemodynamics.  They must also be able to recognize abnormalities and form accurate and timely preliminary reports for the Petsafe specialists.  Sonographers are expected to provide exceptional customer service and show respect to clients, patients and fellow team members.  The ability to interact and adapt with poise and professionalism to different circumstances which can arise when dealing with many separate clients and their staff is critical.  Additionally, the sonographer must have the capability to adjust to and manage changes in a timely manner to service our clients and their patients.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform studies on a GE Logicbook provided by Petsafe.
• Transport equipment to and from clinics daily, often involving travel to more than one clinic within a day.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, teammates, and colleagues at all levels.
• Assist in account management of clinics by organizing schedules, scheduling patients, and educating staff and physicians on testing modalities, procedures, and processes.
• Support and assist in the development of market growth strategies.
• Actively participate in monthly market and in-service Sonography meetings.
• Independently troubleshoot issues in the field when they arise and deliver prompt solutions, requesting assistance when needed.
• Clean and maintain all clinical equipment.
• Order replacement equipment and supplies through approved vendors
• Complete and maintain required certifications, registries, and continuing education.
• Key test data and patient information into computer to maintain record of test results.
• Assists physician with ultrasound guided biopsies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal training and graduation from an accredited school of medical ultrasound.
• Experience: 2-4 years ultrasound experience.
• Current RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS required.
• Ability to work independently and follow protocol.
• Ability to define challenges, analyze problems, and develop and implement solutions in a proactive and positive manner.
• High attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Demonstration of computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• A valid Texas driver’s license to operate a vehicle for transportation of equipment, a reliable means of transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
