Julie Corbett, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Dr Julie Corbett grew up in upstate New York and attended Cornell University where she received a BS in 1989. She graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Dr Corbett finished a small animal internship at Mississippi State University in 1997 and a small animal internal medicine residency at Cornell University in 1999. Since then she has been living in Florida. She currently resides in Gainesville, Florida and works full time at a referral-specialty hospital as the only internist at the practice. In her free time, she enjoys scuba diving (especially cave diving), landscaping, jewelry making and is currently obsessed with Zumba. Dr Corbett & her husband share their home with 2 dogs, 5 cats, and an Amazon parrot.

Amanda Crabtree, DVM, MS, DACVR
Dr. Amanda Crabtree, DMV, DACVR, Transparent Veterinary Imaging, Galena, OH. Dr. Amanda Crabtree received her DVM from The Ohio State University in 2006. She then completed a radiology residency at Auburn University in 2010, working in several private practices in Chicago and Pittsburgh until 2016. After founding Transparent Veterinary Imaging in 2011, her teleradiology practice grew and she moved back home to the Columbus, OH area to pursue solely teleradiology in 2016.

Dr. Jean Betkowski, DVM, DACVIM-Cardiology
Dr. Jean Betkowski received her DVM degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. After completing a Small Animal internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York, she worked in private practice in a small animal hospital in Connecticut for two years. Dr. Betkowski then went on to complete a residency in cardiology at Tufts University. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine with a special interest in Cardiology. Dr. Betkowski has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University since 1999.

David Pelio, DVM, ACVIM- Cardiology
Doctor David Pelio leads with compassion for animals and their families. He understands the emotional challenges that come with your pet’s heart condition and strives to offer not only expert medical care but also support and reassurance. Dr. Pelio believes in a collaborative approach. Working closely with you, your family Veterinarian and the rest of your pet’s veterinary team to create a personalized treatment plan that prioritizes the well-being and comfort for your pet. Dr. Pelio is committed to staying at the forefront of veterinary cardiology through continuous learning and professional development.
Dr. David Pelio grew up in New Jersey. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pepperdine University in California, and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University. Following his residency he became Board Certified in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Cardiology. After veterinary school, he pursued and completed advanced training as a cardiology intern and resident with Coast to Coast Cardiology. His clinical interests include cardiology, oncology, and internal medicine, and he has presented research at a national conference regarding the effects of chemotherapy on dogs with cardiac tumors. Dr. Pelio is enthusiastic about honing his echocardiographic diagnoses of acquired and congenital heart disease, ECG analysis, and interventional procedures.
In his spare time, Dr. Pelio enjoys working out, martial arts, DJing, and cooking. He has an adorable and affectionate cat named Furry Corsten who he found on the streets of Corvallis, Oregon while attending veterinary school, and Paisley the lovable Pomeranian. They instantly became best friends and have been inseparable ever since.

Maggie Lamy, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)
Dr. Maggie Lamy grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She received a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Utah. She then received her DVM from the University of Florida in 2009. She spent a year as a rotating Intern at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey before completing a 4-year Cardiology residency at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Lamy has done extensive research on cardiac biomarkers and their use in small animal practice. She led the development of the feline NT-proBNP cage-side SNAP test, as a way to detect asymptomatic feline heart disease. She has been a part of several large-scale clinical trials, including PROTECT and EPIC, and participated in the evaluation of Torsemide as an alternative diuretic in dogs. Recently, she was involved in the evaluation of diet-related cardiomyopathy in Golden Retrievers through UC Davis.
Dr. Lamy worked in clinical practice for 5 years in South Florida before turning to consulting, and telemedicine full time. Her favorite areas of Cardiology include mitral valve disease, ECG interpretation, and feline cardiomyopathy. She is focused on providing personalized service and is looking forward to broadening the availability of Cardiac specialty medicine to veterinarians across the country.
Dr. Lamy is fortunate to work from home and shares her life in sunny Florida with her husband, 3 daughters, 2 dogs, and horse.
